Get to know Jesse
On a personal note, I am a husband and father to two little girls. My wife, Brooke, convinced me to move to North Kansas City from the Southeast in 2013. I moved here with a 3-year plan to move back to the coast. It didn't take long for me to realize that North Kansas City was home.
I have come to love so much about this community - the people, the parks, the walkability, the small town culture on the edge of a big city. I still don't love the Midwest weather... but honestly, who does?
I earned a degree in Finance from the University of Georgia and spent nearly a decade as a federal financial regulator. When I left that job, and stopped spending most of my time traveling for work, I decided to dig deep into the NKC community. The following year, I was elected to my first of three terms as a City Councilmember. I also serve on the Planning Commission, and I host community discussions on relevant issues to our City, including how we can help prevent gun violence.
